Check out this new book!
You know me … I love quilting books and absolutely must have all of them that have projects featuring our fabrics.
The projects featuring our fabrics start on page 172 and are by Melissa Corry and Megan Jimenez. There are 3 projects. A darling table topper, a fun birthday banner and a cute hat. I didn’t get a chance to meet these ladies, but after hanging around the book signing table at this past quilt market, I did meet Quilt Jane AKA Jane Davidson.
She is also one of the authors from the book. She didn’t do the project in the book made with our fabrics, but I liked her anyway.
This is Jane’s project …
Ever meet one of those people that you instantly have a connection with? Well that’s how it was with us. We talked several times throughout market but she lives in Australia, I thought that I would probably never hear from her again. But she did promise to send me some cookies.
Not too long ago I received a package in the mail from Australia!
I just knew it was from Quilt Jane and it was! She sent the cookies! Actually she sent me some of her self proclaimed best cookies in Australia and a pot of tea to go with them!
Lets have a tea party and see if she’s right …
I have to admit they are YUMMY!
I think the second package of cookies is meant for Mary? Or are they all mine?
All Mine!
Thanks Jane. It’s good to have a new friend down under! Hope our paths cross again someday.
Now back to the cookies!

Sweet Celebrations is a great book and we sell a lot of them in the store. We made the round table topper and everyone loves it. It was made with a jelly roll and is oh so cute!
Lots of other good projects in the book as well.
Have a great week and keep up the fun blog!

I say the cookies are all yours due to the unwritten rule “You snooze, you lose”, or the standby “Finders keepers, losers weepers”. Use whichever you thinks fits best.
have a great day!
I’m also a quilting ‘bookaholic’ and have to admit to having this book and, that I’m glad that I have!! Enjoy those very scrummy cookies!!
Thanks Barb for the lovely post. I will definitely be in Houston this year and bring more goodies to share. I also did the Snowflake quilt in the book and it would rockin’ in your Shades of Black collection. Jane
Yummy cookies……Mary who???
Those cookies do look yummy!! Isn’t there a saying possession is 9/10 of the law? I would love to see a quilt by Jane in your Shades of Black. That is such an awesome collection.
Coming from Scotland to Australia I really really missed British chocolate BUT then I discovered Tim Tams!!!!!!
The Australians dip them in their tea and then suck the tea through the middle????
Enjoy your tea and tim tams.
next time you are at Quilt Market have Sue Daley show you how to “properly” eat TimTams!
Ah, dear Jane – she is such a sweety!! I dream of one day living near her so she can teach me to long arm quilt
Timtams are SO yummy!!! I have been known to eat the packet. Now I only buy them when hubby is home, then HE eats most of them and I have a couple. Much better for the waistline!
Ladies please let me clarify….Tim Tams are bickies that are best eaten straight from the fridge. Bite off two diagonally opposite corners and insert one end into your cuppa or favorite port and suck the liquid quickly up through the bickie before it falls apart in your cuppa. Smooshy bickie in a good cuppa is just gross mate! By the way’ love love love your fabrics and am having a squizz in the shops to try and track them down under Down Under, which is where I live and not a typo
I still really want to try those! Are they as good as they sounded at Market when ya’ll were talking about them?
