Quilt Cruise Stranded!

We were recently stranded on a mysterious quilting island for two weeks!

Just think! It could happen to you!

But we made the most of our visit to the mysterious quilting island because we had our favorite notions along.

Our Omnigrid 8.5 x 24 inch ruler was something that we couldn’t do without. It’s heavier than our other rulers, and when cutting strips it doesn’t slip as much. We also like it for cutting wide border strips.

But it really came in handy when Mary sprained her ankle cliff diving … It makes a great splint too!

We always pack a good supply of Schmetz #80 sewing needles! You never know when your going to have to replace a dull needle on your sewing machine …

Or when you want to blend with the natives!

Since this is a magical island we were happy to find ‘”magic bikini’s”. Mine made me look taller than Mary!

We also had our personal “bobbin boy”. He sat under the palms all day filling bobbins with our SideWinder. We never had to stop sewing once to refill bobbins!

The magical island was a home away from home …

Bet you can’t guess which hut is ours??

But the best part of the island was the Sonic drive thru!

Wish you were here!

Lets all celebrate National Craft Month!
