Embroidering!
I saw this picture a few months ago somewhere on the internet and wanted to incorporate the technique into a quilt.
So … we ended one of our new market quilts with a big white border.
And I spent all weekend doing this …
I think it’s going to turn out really cute!
I especially like how the corners are turning out …
Now the bad news … I have to stitch another quilt before market! We make 2 samples of everything.
Better get busy!
Barb

That is really pretty! I see a quilt there though, all done in fabric. On the list.
Love it!! Can’t wait to see the whole quilt! Great stitching Barb! Hope you’ve got some repair cream for your fingertips!
I’m in LOVE! I can’t wait for the finished product!
OH!! I really love that!! How long did it take to do? I bet the first one is really fun… the second not so much! LOL Is it Pearle 8?
Just darling!!
Looks wonderful. So sorry that you have to do this again though. But as always Keep Calm and Sew On!
Love it! So bright and cheery!
Thanks for sharing that Barb, I love it, and it could be the answer to one of my bug bears, I couldn’t find the right fabric for a border for a quilt, now I’m thinking the white border with the embroidery in matching colours to the rest of the quilt.
Good luck with getting those quilts finished in time for market !
I love the embroidery you did. I love to embroider and doesn’t seem like many people do it any more. What hopefully your quilt will bring it back. I try to do a little on every quilt I make.
That’s going to be gorgeous. Good luck. I really love that look myself, although I could never do it with my hand.
Looooove it!!!!!!
gorgeous!
Pretty, I can’t wait to see how this turns out!
I totally love it. Just the wee skirt alone is just adorable!
How cute is this!! I love it when inspiration like this comes along. I just have to remember this! I can bookmark this post where it will get lost among the 8,000 bookmarks I’ve thus far accumulated, or I can write it on a sticky note where it undoubtedly will end up stuck to my jeans one day and ultimately land on the car seat, or you can send me a note after the holidays to remind me that I want to do some of these stitches. There, that’s surely the most reliable idea of all….you are reliable, right?
