Crochet Update ~ Again!

I have good news and bad news!
Remember this basket of yarn? You’ve been seeing way too much of it.

Well it’s magically turning into an afghan …

I was able to crochet away a few hours on our recent quilting cruise during our free time.

We started an impromptu hand sewing area in the ships library. Several people dropped in and out throughout the day to join us. Great FUN! I have actually used up 10 of my original 14 skeins! At this rate I should be finished very soon.

The bad news is, I bought MORE yarn!
I have this …

To make these …

And this to make a large granny square throw …

So my basket is filling up again!

I also bought another one of these …

And now I have several MORE projects that I would like to do.

Help! I think this is becoming a habit.

Oh yes! And yet another addiction has been born!! Noro is so fun to work with and to watch the colors change. And the nesting bowls are great gifts. I don’t know if I should say this, but are you a member of Ravelry (www.ravelry.com) yet? It could be just the thing to really suck you into another realm.
I would love to be your ‘ravelry friend’. I am fabriholic23.

Ok, you just reminded me of my two, yes two knitting projects that I started last year and got stuck so put them away. I guess I need to make a trip to Tempe Yarn to get help and get them finished. The only problem with that is the temptation to buy more yarn!

  3. I read the whole post and didn’t pick up on one bit of bad news there! More yarn could never be bad news, ever! Your magically appearing afghan is looking just lovely! I love that it is simple double crochet with some eyelets for detail. Very nice! Love that new yarn too…so colorful and happy, just like all your fabrics!

There was no bad news anywhere in today’s post! I think all the yarn colors are pretty even if they stay sitting in the basket. Surround yourself in the happiness of color.

Welcome to my world. I am a knitter and have about 7 projects going and I am doing a swatch to start another. I have stashes of yarn and quilting fabrics both MN and FL. Too many skeins of yarn to count. If you need more Niro in different colors let me know as I could sen some from my stash. That would help me. LOL
