Mary and I are going to be away from the office for a few days attending Quilt Market in Houston.
Our booth items have been completed and shipped …
Our booth is #353.
If you happen to be there stop by and say hello to our jelly roll mummies!
We will return to the office on October 30th.
While I was recently looking thru a bedroom closet I found this …
An old doll of mine. Still in the original box.
She is a little lumpy and settled but aren’t we all getting that way these days?
I got on the internet and found that she was made in 1963. She might actually be worth something if she talks.
Here goes nothing …
She still talks!
Apparently she is afraid of noisy boys!
Back to the shelf for another few years!
I wonder if my sister still has her Chatty Cathy?
I saw this picture a few months ago somewhere on the internet and wanted to incorporate the technique into a quilt.
So … we ended one of our new market quilts with a big white border.
And I spent all weekend doing this …
I think it’s going to turn out really cute!
I especially like how the corners are turning out …
Now the bad news … I have to stitch another quilt before market! We make 2 samples of everything.
Better get busy!
We are busy around here getting everything ready for quilt market.
This past weekend I picked up some of the quilts we will be showing from our quilter Sharon Elsberry. She went wild with her creativity again!
On one of the quilts she quilted large flowers that mimic the fabrics in the corners …
I love the way she used a colored thread to do this!
She also quilted the new fabric group name on the bottom corner …
Gotta finish binding 8 quilts and get them in the shipping crate for late next week.
Wish me luck!
I love quilt books and have a big collection!
I recently had the opportunity to find 3 more that I HAD to have because they had projects using our fabrics!
The first …
I spotted that quilt with Dilly Dally fabrics on top right away!
The second was not as easy to spot …
Had to flip it over to the back cover …
To spy the Twirl fabrics!
The third was another easy spot …
And more Twirl fabrics! This book is specifically geared toward kids that want to learn to quilt.
All 3 quilts are so yummy and the books have some other prospects too!
Thanks Connie Ewbank, Carolyn S. Vahts and Annie’s!
PS … I ordered my books from the Clotilde website.
We are at it again!
We had so much fun the first time we sighed on for another trip!
Join us with Laurie Simpson from the Moda design team of Minink and Simpson …
Along with Carrie Nelson of Miss Rosie’s Quilt Co. …
On the quilting adventure of a lifetime. Both ladies are personal friends in addition to being fabulous quilters so this should be extra fun!
The ship leaves in just a few short months and is filling fast.

Sailing Away … Barb
Since Mary has moved away it seems I have more free time on my hands.
I decided to make a trip to the mall and see how it felt to shop by myself.
I found the bargain of the year!
It’s just another bag. I have a collection already, but this one was just too good to pass up!
A Ralph Lauren duffel bag, originally $145.00. Marked down to $9.99 …
But I got it for $6.99!
Now that was therapeutic!!
One of our followers just gave me a HOT tip!

They also have a really cute good morning photo …
Much better than mine!
